This TOP QUALITY ALUMINIUM external disk drive enclosure is aimed at professional audio / video editors, or those serious about performance and reliability of their data.
It only takes a few minutes to assemble your SATA disk drive of choice into the enclosure. All sizes up to 2TB are supported.
With a modern SATA disk drive (not included) you can expect: 60MB/s-80MB/s typical Firewire 800 performance and 100MB/s typical eSATA performance. See performance charts below.

Disk Monitoring Software for PC/Mac
View the spaced used, the hours of power-on use, the number of power on/off cycles.
View the current disk temperature and the maximum temperature reached. Receive e-mail alerts if temperature threshold is passed.
NOTE: We have tested this with MacOS Leopard, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. We have found that under Windows XP the disk may not be seen through the firewire interface.
